House Rules
What would Dungeons and Dragons be like without rules (or any game for that matter)? Unplayable. Now we all know just how wonderful a job the joes at Wizards and TSR did in making the rules of D&D and we're very thankful. However there is always a rule or two that just doesn't work for a gaming group (mine for one hates weight) and that rule takes a lot of fun from the game. So do we allow this rule to get away with ruining our fun? I think not. Instead we change the rule a little, or create a entirely new rule. This is all part of the Dungeons and Dragons experience. This post was made so that you can place your favorite house rules were all can see, and try out. If you have a favorite rule please share it with us.

I'm working on fixing the perform skills, right now they're not that good, due to the fact that you can make only a little amount of gold by using them, and anyways you only get to make one roll when the act of performing is much more then simply playing the instrument well. In this new way the act of performing should be much more enjoyable, and should allow the players to use the bard for something other the just boosting the party.
Sounds fun. I'm a big fan of bards, and boosting their usefulness is always something I'm looking for.
This is the fixed perform skill:
In order to perform the musician must first gather a crowd. Make a charisma check using table 1.
Table 1: Number of people in crowd

5 0 5
10 5 15
15 10 20
20 15 30
25 18 40
30 25 60
After the crowd is gather the performance can now begin. The performer makes a perform roll on table 2.
